About Us

Global Foundation for Women's Health, Inc (GFWH, INC.) is a local 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, founded August, 2020 by Anita M. Connor that has a global health outreach, education, and advocacy structure.

GFWH was organized under the premise of supporting women and girls through the different phases of a feminine's life.

Our core focus areas are:  Adolescent & Reproductive Health, Maternal Mental Health, and Menopausal Health & Wellness.  We advocate for women's wellness while providing access to maternal, mental, and reproductive health resources - in communities like schools, homes, and the workplace.

GFWH, Inc., believes that social and economic opportunities, such as housing, stable jobs, basic health essentials, and strong social networks (like Churches, Counseling Agencies, Non-Profits like us) are foundational to achieving positive and healthy lives. These opportunities affect our ability to make healthy choices, afford medical care and housing, and manage stress.

We are committed to making a positive impact in the field of women's health by empowering young women to take control of their lives and health.

We bring existing local, state and federal resources together to help Maternal Adolescent Mothers and their older counterparts fight Maternal Depression. Maternal Depression (also known as, Postpartum depression and Perinatal depression) is a condition characterized by intense feelings of sadness, anxiety(worry), or despair after childbirth that interferes with a mother's ability to function and a baby to thrive.

We mobilize congregations of faith, community volunteers, and social service agencies to help us with our mission. Through Home visits, Food Pantry initiatives, Self-Care workshops, Mom-&-Baby case management and Mental Health counseling through professional partnerships, our program aims to address the underlying causes of Suicide for women during the first year after childbirth.

With your partnership we can help renounce despair, regain hopefulness, dignity, find independence, while maintaining proper maternal health. – one family at a time.

We believe that every woman has the power to make a positive difference in their own lives, and we are here to support that journey every step of the way.

Our Vision

To create a global network that holistically supports the health and healing of women and girls - spiritually, mentally, physically, and emotionally.

GFWH's vision is further illuminated through our

"H-E-A-R-T" initiative Model. - HEAL, EDUCATE, ACCEPT, REJUVENATE and THRIVE.

Global foundation for Women's Health, believes that in order for individuals and their families to THRIVE, their communities need a comprehensive intervention program that addresses the socio-economic factors of some of the social determinants amongst these individuals. Addressing factors like: housing, employment, food-insecurity, self-confidence, health and education lends itself to becoming the best and healthiest version of oneself.
